Five ways the GOP can attack President-elect Obama
Republicans are finding it difficult to criticize President-elect Obama. Many Americans have lost their appetite for partisan politics, and merely want problems to be solved. Even the brutish, nasty and short Newt Gingrich criticized the GOP for trying to link Obama to the Blagojevich scandal:
![]() | I was saddened to learn that at a time of national trial, when a president-elect is preparing to take office in the midst of the worst financial crisis in over seventy years, that the Republican National Committee is engaged in the sort of negative, attack politics that the voters rejected in the 2006 and 2008 election cycles.![]() |
We don't know who spiked Newt's eggnog with common sense, but we aren't having any of it. Republicans, you've been America's asshole boyfriend for so long, don't give up now! Yes, we broke up with you in November, but we bore easily and we'll probably be back in 8 years. So please don't stop attacking. We don't feel pretty unless you call our president ugly.
Five ways the GOP can attack President-elect Obama
- Point out that, between retaining Bush's Secretary of Defense and allowing gay-hater (gater?) Rick Warren to give the inaugural invocation, President-elect Obama represents the kind of Republican values that the American people voted against.
- Pretend the housing crisis, the bank bailout and the auto bailout were Obama's fault. Now, the rants write themselves.
- Hope people forget that he's from Hawaii and hit him hard for "vacationing in Hawaii" on God's birthday.
- The election is over and that gutless pussy John McCain cannot stop the GOP from bringing up Jeremiah Wright. Bring it.
- LAST RESORT: Wait until Obama assumes the presidency and does something.
