It's the first day of the 111th Congress and Barack Obama has gotten off to a bad start. With incoming chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee Dianne Feinstein, at least. DiFi, it seems, is pouting Obama didn't inform her ahead of time that he was going to appoint Leon Panetta as his CIA director.

"I was not informed about the selection of Leon Panetta to be the CIA director," said Feinstein.

She added that she believes "the agency is best served by having an intelligence professional in charge at this time." Because, hey, having an "intelligence professional" worked out great with George Tenet, right? And Porter Goss. And Michael Hayden.

For those unfamiliar with Feinstein, she's kind of like Joe Lieberman, only taller, and with weirder hair -- one of those generation of women who think they have to always take the unthinking hawkish a-hole position so they seem "tough."

Unfortunately, she's also chair of the committee that will voting on Panetta's nomination. So how will Obama console poor, angry DiFi? How can he make it up to her? Take the poll...
