Was I watching the same Debate as Everyone Else?

As I sat in my living room watching this debate, I kept moaning and groaning because I was in sheer agony listening to Sarah Palin, I guess I was the only one yelling at the television screen saying WOULD YOU PLEASE ANSWER THE DARN QUESTION each time Gwen Ifill posed one; I will admit I became totally aggravated and exhausted with each round of questioning and found great relief and renewed strength when Joe Biden answered on point.

I am almost certain if I watched past debates of Sarah Palin, I will discover she has mastered the term AVOIDANCE, never answer questions directly, those you are trying to win over might realize the level of your intellectual knowledge and understanding is practically nil, once the hot air she spews clears.

I did not find her engaging nor connecting with me , since I am not a " hockey Mom", I am a "football Mom", I am not a "Joe six-pack", " I am a single bottle ". The "winking of the eye, the got cha and you bet cha" phrases did nothing for me, I did not find it cute or charming as a matter of fact it was insulting and if I was a "hockey Mom or a Joe six-pack" I would worry she was trying to put me on the same level of her understanding as to how the world works. Whoa! what a scary thought.

As for "say it ain't so Joe", I say to Sarah Plain "say it ain't so Sarah" McCain isn't keeping you away from media interviews and the "hockey Moms and Joe six- packs" after this debate because he thinks you might outshine him or is it because he just doesn't have the time to babysit and monitor you?

There's something atheistically pleasing the to In a Minutes... I find myself repeat watching these, partially for the comedy, partially for the irrationality play on sound bite media and partially because they're rhythmically enchanting...

If another journalist calls Palin "folksy" again I am going to scream. What they call "folksy" I call "pre-rehearsed crap designed to appeal to people who think Jesus rode a dinosaur on his way to church everyday." If I want folksy I'll bust out a Nick Drake album.
