Each week at The Pollination Project, we highlight seven grantees whose projects range from arts and animal rights to environmentalism and education. Middletown Concert Chorale, The Middletown Concert Chorale, Middletown, New York, USA. A diverse chorale transforms the lives of its communities through rich ethnic and historical backgrounds.
Jude Thaddues Njikem, Building Toilet for Girls, Penda, Cameroon. A private bathroom is constructed for female students to use.
Asare Regina and Mr. Pewudie Emmanuel, Traditional Birth Attendants Teaching Project, Akpafu Mempeasem, Ghana. Trainings in antenatal, delivery and postnatal care along with sexual health are facilitated to help reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.
Ashutosh Mehta, Karuna Sandesh Yatra, Rajasthan, India. A 1,200-kilometer trek emphasizing the compassionate and veganism ways of the Jain community hopes to bring insight about farmed animals worldwide.
Ezeokoli Ogechukwu Chinenye, Teens Entrepreneurship Club, Ogun, Nigeria. Teenagers from low-income communities are afforded access to economic means to help accelerate business ideas and positive impact.
Bryan Zavada, Jefferson County Open School Bee Club, Lakewood, Colorado, USA. Students and parents join together to host beehives and learn key skills about pollinators and backyard beekeeping.
Joseph Kabiru Macharia, Dajopen Waste Management, Kitale, Kenya. Community clean ups lead to waste being recycled into organic fertilizer needed by small-scale farmers.
