New media have had a game changing effect on nearly every aspect of our lives -- from the way we choose our president, to the way we choose our music, to the way we choose to make a difference in the world.
In this spirit, the Huffington Post will be launching the HuffPost Game Changers awards to honor and celebrate 100 people who are using new media to reshape their fields and change the world.
And we need your help picking them.
We want your suggestions about the innovators, visionaries, and leaders who are harnessing the power of new media to change the game -- to change the way we look at the world and live in it.
We are going to salute 10 Game Changes in 10 categories: Politics, Entertainment, Technology, Media, Sports, Business, Style, Health, Green, Philanthropy & Service.
So who do you think should be on our list?
To nominate someone as a Game Changer, use the comments section below. Let us know who you are recommending, what category they fit into, and why you think they are changing the game in their field.
We'll gather up all your choices and add them to the list our editors are compiling. Then, in September, we'll start announcing the HuffPost 100. And you'll get to vote for who is the top Game Changer in each category.
We can't wait to hear what you think.

In the "Green" category I nominate Annie B.Bond, originator and guiding spirit of .greenchicafe.com Its sub-head is, "Living an eco-revolution." This is an original use of the new media, providing a virtual cafe where readers can inter-act with like-minded others, and share their learning about making our living on the planet part of the solution, not of the problem. Annie Bond is the author of several books on the subject. This is a lively and fascinating site. Check it out- you'll be glad you did!
Just want to make sure my nomination for Christopher R. Coppola made it up here! He's a visionary and an amazing leader in this area. Check out all he's doing with digital media at: http://www.pahnation.com/
And he does it because he cares about giving young and old access to these new tools that are available. And he cares deeply about the creative process and using new media for the expression of that process.

WHO: Johnny Royal, CEO of Luthier Society, Inc.
WHAT: Technology
WHY: Archimedes
Luthier Society, Inc. (LSI) is the parent company of Luthier PR (LPR), a boutique multi-media public relations firm. But despite the success of LPR, Royal and LSI’s biggest success is their revolutionary software platform, Archimedes – operating now in beta, with ver 1.0 launching early 2010 – which will do nothing less than change the way the world does business online.
Archimedes is the world’s first fully comprehensive online market index for websites across all industries; it’s essentially the Dow Jones for the Internet. Working with partners including AT&T, Cisco, Verisign and Covad, Archimedes uses a proprietary methodology to first track internet traffic worldwide, then uses a series of value-weighted algorithms to interpret that data in numerous ways as a means to assign true values to Web-based social media, viral branding, advertising and commerce. The result is a ticker-based system akin to the Dow and other major world financial markets that uses real, verifiable and constantly updated measurements to assign true value to any company doing business online – providing universal data to buyers, sellers and agencies worldwide.
