The Internet is a revolution in information transfer. The main advantage of the Internet Revolution is that only three months are needed to train a web designer from any country, while more than six months are needed to train a software programmer, after one or two years learning English in non-English speaking countries. The disadvantage of the Internet is that it enhances price competition of non-innovative products, and, thus, speeds up the economic contraction. With the Internet, the prediction of Karl Marx that (without innovations) the price competition will bring down the capitalistic system is verified. With Milton Friedman gone, Post-Science Institute would like to speak in his behave: "The government is the biggest of the too-big-too fail companies." The credit crisis of the financial crisis is caused by the incorrect determination of the insurance premiums for bank deposits by the government. The Subprime Woe was precipitated by the incorrect determination of the interest rates to set by the Federal Reserve, as evidenced by the drop and rise in the fed rate from normal prior to 2000 to 1% and back up to 5.25%.Had the Fed known that the fed rate should be kept around 1% or lower, why did it raise it to over 5%?...........
I am Post-Science follower. If you want to know the solution to Financial crisis and how to change the world, pls visit : www.postscience.com

I am disappointed in HuffPo's offerings today. You carry six features on the Fort Hood tragedy, but nothing on the names of the victims, unless you consider the Muslim terrorist to be one of the victims himself. And I would guess you do. One question about the whole affair. Here was a whole building full of troops primed to go in harm's way and presumably acquainted at least with the martial arts. Then why in God's name didn't any one of them rush the shooter and take him down? Maybe the answer will come in due time. I sure hope so.

Your list is incomplete without Dean Ornish and Bruce Lipton.

Good gene expression through excellent nutrition is the number one wellness concept.

My vote is: None of the above.

Madam:

By using the word "latest" does not vitiate the fact that you missed a key Game Changer in Internet Technology! Please, revise your list:

He's not the ``Father of the Internet.'' Not by a long shot.

Arianna,You are surely someone I admire among a profession that is surely lacking. You more than help fill a big gap. It's great to see two fields, that are unparalled in ther contributions to the human race, being honored. But, the two who stand head and shoulders above all the rest----RAY KURZWEIL in technology and AUBREY DE GREY in wellnes are lamentably missing. THEY are the future.

The big problem here is ... it is not a game. It's our lives.

The game changers in wellness are inspiring but missing a key name on the list ... Dr. Mike Merzenich is renowned neuroscientist, university professor, cochlear implant inventor, brain plasticity expert and tech entrepreneur.

Dr. Merzenich is one of the few members of both the National Academy of Science and the Institue of Medicine. He was a pioneer in the discovery that the brain can rewire itself and continue to improve throughout life with the right challenges, just like the body improves through physical challenge. He has been working with people around the world to apply this science to improve the quality of life for others and is currently chief scientist at Posit Science (www.positscience.com)
