From the beginning, HuffPost has worked to bring our users the most dynamic mix of breaking news and opinion possible -- and to use the latest technology available to improve the user experience, and to bring you more of what you come here for.
With this goal in mind, we are rolling out a number of new features that will continue to make HuffPost a go-to web destination for up-to-the-minute news and fresh takes on the stories everyone is talking about.
For starters, we know that our readers have always loved the rapid updates on HuffPost's front page, so we've switched over to an Ajax interface that lets our stories and images load faster -- making the site more vibrant, and the updates more seamless. No more clicking and waiting for the site to refresh; the latest news stories, blog posts, and comments now automatically appear on the page.
We've also upgraded our Quick Read feature, which allows you to get the gist of a story without clicking to a new page. Now, when you open a Quick Read box, you are also shown four other stories that your fellow HuffPost readers have been drawn to -- and you can rapidly check out each of those stories without ever leaving the Quick Read box you initially opened. If you've never used the Quick Read feature, give it a try.
HuffPost's upgraded Quick Read feature
And we've added a "Most Popular on HuffPost" feature on the right hand side of every section's home page that allows you, at a glance, to see the hottest stories and blog posts from the last few days. It's continually updated and showcases a rotation of the top 12 HuffPost pieces at any given moment. And if you have your own blog site, you can add our Most Popular widget to it.
Of course, since these changes have been made with you in mind, we want to hear what you think of them -- good and bad. Let us know by sending an email to updates@huffingtonpost.com.
Thanks again for reading, posting, talking back, and being such an integral part of what we do. And if you haven't made HuffPost your home page, you can do so by clicking here.

Arianna, I always have to refresh whatever page I've clicked on in order to move things along. Perhaps this is because I've blocked pop-ups. Occassionally your site locks up Internet Explorer and I have to shut down the whole thing. Of course, this is reported to microsoft in case the fault is at their end.
Although I am a registered user, I rarely log in as I may or may not have to wait for long minutes (as many as twenty) to be recognized. I just used my standard password, etc., so perhaps these issues will be remedied.
However, I did have to refresh to be put through the system.
Check your adverts. They may be causing us introverts some problems.... although I "get it": adverts run the system...
So far.

When you scroll down to all posts for the day on the blog and news, jump to where you left off rather than back to the top of the page.
And the lag time on posting comments on the blog side hurts more than it helps in this opinionated opiner's view anyway.
Arianna, could we please do without the tabloid dross? If the advertising revenue or page hits or whatever is so irresistable, could you maybe move it off the front page? It's demeaning and insulting to the very kind of readers you attract.
Your site is my first stop of the day for news and anlysis. The Hollywood gossip cr@p is exactly what I'm fleeing, not what I come here for.
It's paradoxical to read columns criticizing Big Media's focus on infotainment over substance reporting, when HuffPo's own front page is littered with stories about Paris and Britney et al. Even some of the political reporting smacks of the substance-free "horse race" reporting that the MSM thrives on.
HuffPo is an absolutely invaluable resource, and I heartily applaud you and the HuffPo staff for such outstanding work. The tabloid stories are an ugly blot on an otherwise terrific site.
As a practice, Lady A, I find ANY form or flavor of kool-aid anathema to my sanity. When it comes to a HuffingtonPost flavored drink, however, I just can't seem to get enough ...and in fact, it ALWAYS seems to be JUST what the Doctor ordered for MY time on the 'internets'.
There seems to be REAL dedication to continuous improvement here, and the now powerful HuffingtonPost defines and shapes a 'new' feedback between Our country's citizens and those that either lead us now or would try. The 'effects' will continue mulitply with time, and the main stream media WILL FALL of their own intractability, as have the networks to stellite/cable TV and IBM to Microsoft.
HuffingtonPost has EVEN become a sort of 'anvil' for the politicians and candidates of OUR time, at least those willing to take their case to 'the people', provided they also face whatever criticism comes without hypocrisy or overt censorship or meanness, or ...one would hope, anyway.
We've SEEN and UNDERSTAND that HuffingtonPost does THEIR part, and I for one thank you.

Love the content ... but slow, slow, slow to load. I'm getting lots of freezups and I.E. crashes. I really don't object to the ads as such, but they are taking forever to load, and I just sit there waiting to be able to read anything. Try loading the ads as text only and let the graphics load afterward, so we don't have to sit around twiddling our thumbs ... please!
Also, if you're open to some sort of "letters to the editor" section, where we can post comments not tied to a particular blog, that would be great. I think it would lead to a lot more wide-ranging, creative comment by readers and also less off-topic posting. For example, it's extremely annoying reading a bunch of posts about the "Zionist Conspiracy" in the middle of a thread on abortion rights, or the true meaning of the First Ammendment. I don't mind people venting on their pet peeves, but give them a space in which to do it.
I don't come for the celebrity BS. Lose it.
I wish I could (1) see all the day's blogs without scrolling down to the bottom of the page that has recent blogs only (a long trip, since the site keeps freezing or bouncing me off of Explorer) to request the full display; (2) see all the day's news postings, similarly; (3) go to blogs after reading the news postings, or vice versa, without having to first return to the home page (i.e., a tab for blogs should appear on the news page and vice versa, not just halfway down a home page that doesn't want to scroll anyhow). Content is perfect, except there are too many Clinton apologist bloggers and never enough Ephron. Best not to segregate out tabloid stuff or environmental, in my opinion, as suggested by some commenters here.
Why don't you remove the "prior restraint" feature that was added to blog comments? The ability of the comments sections to serve as active debates is crippled by the latency induced by requiring approval by the though-police before a comment can appear. By all means have moderators prowl the comments to guard against foulness by either trolls or zealots but comments should be presumed innocent until proven guilty, not vice versa.
I have a feeling that if you were to edit a newspaper or become part of a start up team for a newspaper that the paper would become a newspaper of record in 2 weeks or less & you'd bring HP staffers with you to introduce innovations to a print newspaper. I do hope that HP would continue & you'd continue to guide it & blog on it. Mr Murdoch keeps that in mind as he runs WSJ for he is astute. One wouldn't be surprised if the MSM & others acknowledged that HUFFINGTON POST & possibly another site or so was a de facto part of the MSM in 2008.
Arianna; I have to disagree with you on a few points.
You say you're giving us more of what we want to see - not true. "Most Popular on HuffPost" feature is not only a waste of space and technology - but kind of a disgraceful statement that more readers are viewing Bittney's lil sis being pregnant at 16, than are viewing the story about the young woman raped in Iraq by Halliburton employees; or viewing impeach Cheney site.
Next; you say the story's are now being updated "QUICKLY"... "blog posts and comments appear immediately on the page". We have waited as long as a half an hour for a comment, post, or reply to a comment to appear.
AS OF TODAY!! Comments have been totally lost; never to be posted. Your new format yesterday was a total disaster...I'm glad you listened to the rebellion, and changed back - for now.
You have the availability to the finest web technology in the country...please use it.
I love reading the Huffington Post; I adore your interviews on Countdown...I enjoy the back and forth dialog here...I wish you could straighten out the problems.
Have an enjoyable Holiday...
PEACE, LOVE, and LIGHT
There aren't many Citizen action pages, where the Petitions and Letters to our Congressmen on important issues could be harvested.
If we want to play our part in the "new revolution", we need all the avenues open and at hand.
How are we going to take back our govt. and wouldn't this site be the perfect place to start?
Congrats on continuously tweaking the Huffington Post to transform it into the most readable and user friendly website on the issues of interest to me and many of my friends.
Unless I missed it, one more tweak that Huffington Post might wish to consider is a simple 'I agree' counter that would allow us to compliment another's comment without putting it in another comment.
i always wish web sights were friendlier to macs.
huffington post is simply the best news and comment web sight on the net. it's been the first place i turn to for news for well over a year. i used to watch news channels on tv but i got so sick and tired of hearing people try to out yell and out interupt each other that i turned to the web. i am over fifty years old and pretty well ingrained in my habits, but cable news made this old dog change to huffpost.
