Today's political landscape is littered with politicians and reporters addicted to treating polling results as if Moses just brought them down from the mountaintop. Since we can't expect these polling junkies to kick the habit on their own, we've decided to stage an intervention. And it's as easy as hanging up your phone. If enough of us refuse to answer pollsters' questions, their data will become so unreliable even the media would have to admit it was useless. --Arianna Huffington

Arianna, forgive my naivete, but how on earth will signing a petition impact anything when information and decisive action is the only thing that will make any difference?
i suggest you put an informational banner up on your site. i dont know anyone, personally that is NOT fed up with the medias influencing the public.
people HAVE to STOP relying on all "media reports/information", period. how easy it was to interfere with free and independent thinking, eh?
i already refuse to participate in polling when i am called, i have for a long time!
I will sign as long as you speak out to have all candidates Kucinich and Paul involved in the debates.
How about a little symbol next to my name that says I signed the petition? That would get many people on board.
I absolutely agree with you! I used to work for a company that called people on the telephone with politcal surveys. The way these polling companies do it is that they are really not so much seeking an honest opinion but more to manipulate the answer they want from the respondent (they do this because the surveys are supposed to be in favor a certain politician who PAID TO HAVE THE SURVEY DONE). It's disgusting, I didn't like it, and I am so happy that I am doing something else now. I have no problem saying no to a political survey because I know what's behind it. Thank you, Arianna and Harry for making the public aware of this situation.
