This week it's time to get down and dirty! Head outside and roll around in the grass at the Socrates Sculpture Park while watching The Wind Journeys on Wednesday. Let your inner child loose on Thursday at the Children's Museum Summer Benefit. If that doesn't get you dirty enough, check out Gordon Matta-Clark's Day's End + Arch Brown's Pier Groups on Friday at the Light Industry. On Saturday see what's up at the Soho Grand's Summer Hummer BBQ. Did the BBQ leave you all hot and bothered? Well, check out two openings that are also on Saturday: Paradise Now! at White Slab Palace and 4 Eccentrics at The Proposition. There are also 4 shows closing this week that you do not want to miss. On Friday, Crystalline Architecture and Carol Bove, Sterling Ruby, and Dana Schutz both close at Andrea Rosen Gallery. Finally Sunday is the closing of Retro/Active: The Works of Rafael Ferrer at El Museo del Barrio. Whew, I feel like I need a long shower after that. Good luck!
