Artlog's Top Weekly Picks

The rush of gallery openings is giving way to the second wave: Fall's major art fairs, benefits, and museum shows. You can ease into the art fair schedule with the Affordable Art Fair - all works are priced under $10,000 but many are just a few hundred dollars. If you'd rather not jump into the contemporary art scrum just yet, the MoMA and Guggenheim are opening shows full of marquee-name modern artists. On the less institutional side, you can get out into the wild at Greenpoint's Nuit Blanche festival and open studios or retreat to the cinema for experimental and rare films at the week's screenings.
