GET UPDATES FROM Ashley Dunn
For 10 years, Dunn worked with ABC TV in Australia as a camera operator, sounder recorder and editor. His experience in production ranges from current affairs to sporting events. He has worked in live sports broadcasting for FOX Sports, edited the news for ABC TV, and covered a variety of events for his own local broadcasters.

Nowhere, though, was his mettle and skill as a producer and cameraman tested more than on the Sea Shepherd journey in WHALE WARS. Dunn learned quickly that the hazards of an editor working in a studio in Sydney differ starkly from the hazards aboard a vessel engaging in dangerous ocean encounters. During one incident between the Sea Shepherd vessel and the Japanese whaling ship Nisshin Maru, Dunn learned firsthand the risks of filming on the high seas. Scrambling to avoid exploding flash grenades fired by the Japanese, Dunn suffered a serious hip injury.

Born in Sydney, Ashley loves to surf, boat, ski and ride his motor bike near his home of Launceston, Tasmania.
