Delegate Adrienne A. Jones has been a member of the Maryland General Assembly since 1997, representing the 10th Legislative District of Baltimore County. On January 9, 2013 she was once again unanimously elected for the eleventh time as Speaker Pro Tem by the full House of Delegates. Currently, there are seven women who serve as Speaker Pro Tem in the country; she is the only African-American woman and the first to serve in the position in Maryland’s history.
