Albert Berger is a feature film producer who formed Bona Fide Productions
with Ron Yerxa in 1993. Their producing credits include King of the Hill,
Election, Cold Mountain, Little Miss Sunshine, and Little Children. Berger
also executive produced the documentary Crumb. Bona Fide's upcoming
projects include The Abstinence Teacher based on the novel by Tom Perrotta
to be directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, The Rug Merchant based
on the novel by Meg Mullins written and to be directed by Miguel Arteta, as
well as a documentary on Levon Helm.
After graduating from Tufts University, Berger returned to his native
Chicago where he owned and managed the Sandburg Theatre, a revival showcase for obscure and classic films. He attended Columbia University film school before moving to Los Angeles to write scripts for Paramount, TriStar, MGM, and Orion. Berger went on to serve as Vice President of development for
Marvin Worth Productions at Paramount.
