Amanda Norris is a second-year M.A. candidate at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies studying International Economics and European Studies. After graduating from the College of William & Mary, she undertook a Fulbright Scholarship in Germany where she furthered her interest in post-communist European history. Focusing on the rise of nationalism in the wake of European integration, European identity formation and EU accession, Amanda has worked and studied across the continent including projects in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Austria, France and Italy. Most recently, Amanda has concentrated on the economic and political aspects of post-911 transatlantic relations in Brussels at the United States Mission to the European Union and as a research assistant at Johns Hopkins SAIS.
