Angela Jimenez is a freelance documentarian based in Brooklyn, where she is a regular contributor to the New York Times and other publications and a contract photographer with Getty Images. She teaches multimedia storytelling workshops in the graduate magazine department of the NYU Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute and photojournalism to undergraduates in the art department at Nassau Community College in Long Island. She is the author of Welcome Home: Building the Michigan Womyn's Festival (2009), a photography book about the worker culture of the oldest and largest lesbian-feminist gathering in the world.
