Anna Barber is a strategist, consultant and coach for entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes. She has developed a specialty in taking ideas from one liners to operating businesses, as a founder or early employee at five early stage companies. She has developed and launched a wide variety of new products including award-winning mobile apps and websites. She also successfully steered companies through crisis points – funding crunches, pivots, turnarounds, sales and winddowns.
Anna grew up in Chelsea, New York City with a book editor father and literary agent mother. She graduated from Yale and Yale Law School and has worked as a corporate lawyer, McKinsey strategy consultant, VP Product at an e-commerce company, talent manager and film producer, and founder/CEO at retail concept-turned-ed tech company Scribble Press. In that role she developed Scribble Press for iPad, which was chosen as one of Time magazine’s 25 Best Apps for Kids in 2012.
Since the sale of Scribble Press in 2013 Anna has turned her attention to building a consulting practice where she can bring her particular brand of creative problem solving to helping other companies and entrepreneurs thrive.
She loves to read and write, is mother to two active boys, and has always harbored a not-so-secret desire to be a lounge singer.
