Anna Tomasulo is a writer and editor in chief for The Disease Daily (the news page of Boston-based disease tracking system, HealthMap). She provides contextual information on current disease outbreaks and infectious disease news.

She spent the summer as a Fellow at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, where she focused research and writing on child marriage.

Anna received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Bryn Mawr College in French and Francophone Literature in 2007/2008. Through Bryn Mawr, she studied in France and Senegal, where she discovered an interest in global health. In May of 2011, Anna graduated from Boston University School of Public Health with a Master’s in public health. Her studies focused on HIV/AIDS in marginalized populations and the intersection of health and human rights. She has lived and worked in Zambia, France, Senegal and Switzerland.
