Arlene Schulman is a writer, editor, journalist, photographer, filmmaker, and teacher whose published books include the award winning The Prizefighters: An Intimate Look at Champions and Contenders; 23rd Precinct: The Job; and Cop on the Beat. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Daily News, The New York Post, DNAinfo, and in many other publications. She is also a featured interviewer with The New York Public Library's Oral History Project, Bridging Our Stories. She is a proud member of PEN, the literary organization; The Newswomen's Club of New York; The Society of Silurians; and The Author's Guild. Arlene resides on the island of Manhattan.
