Ben is an out-and-proud gay man living in Atlanta, Georgia and a self-proclaimed PrEP advocate fighting against HIV/AIDS stigma. He believes in the power that honest, sex-positive education can have on gay youth.
He also assisted the 2014 National Gay Blood Drive effort by organizing Atlanta's faction, receiving local radio, newspaper and online media attention. This movement is largely credited for making change regarding the Department of Health & Human Service's stance on its lifetime ban on MSM blood donations.
