Brian Center is Executive Director of A Better LA, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence and hopelessness in our inner cities.
Brian practiced business litigation for over eight years before becoming Justice Deputy to LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina. There, he helped manage the County's $16 billion budget, participated in police gang task forces and helped manage police oversight efforts. He also led efforts to reform the juvenile justice and children services systems, through which he became an expert in evidence-based violence prevention. He also spent two years at the LA Sheriff's Department as the point person on homelessness and re-entry issues.
