Brian T. Kaylor Author, 'Presidential Campaign Rhetoric in an Age of Confessional Politics'

Dr. Brian T. Kaylor, a former Baptist pastor, is an assistant professor of communication studies at James Madison University, where he teaches political communication, advocacy and public speaking. He also serves as the editorial assistant for Churchnet. He is the author of the books Presidential Campaign Rhetoric in an Age of Confessional Politics (Lexington Books, 2011) and For God’s Sake, Shut Up!: Lessons for Christians on How to Communicate Effectively and When to Remain Silent (Smyth & Helwys, 2007).

Several of Kaylor’s research articles have been published in academic journals, and he has presented more than 50 papers at academic conferences. His newest book is derived from his doctoral dissertation, which won the top dissertation awards from the University of Missouri and the Religious Communication Association.
