Brigid Hughes has lived most of her life in Evanston, IL. She met her husband there in 8th grade, with whom she had eight children -- Eileen, Sheila, Patrick, Jr., Brian, Molly, Danny, Nora, and Jack. She is now a grandmother to a growing number of grandchildren, as well as a nurturing mentor and guardian to many others outside of her family. She became interested in the problems that people with disabilities face because of her son Brian who died of complications due to AIDS, as well as her son Patrick’s efforts to assist people with disabilities through his business. Brigid has now joined her son Patrick to discuss the problems that people with disabilities currently face in our society and to promote awareness and solutions for these problems. Hence, the Pepsi with Brigid blog.
