Calvin Naito’s most valuable quality is his ability to work with a management team in identifying and solving an enterprise’s most pressing problems. Mr. Naito is the principal of Calvin Naito Enterprises, an independent communications consulting firm. Previously, Mr. Naito served in a variety of roles, including media representative for Kaiser Permanente, public information officer for the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission, vice president of public relations and communications for an Internet start-up called the IntraCom Corporation, manager of communications for the Federal Reserve's Los Angeles branch, and press secretary to a Los Angeles city councilperson. In the course of his career, Mr. Naito has successfully handled dozens of major controversies and crisis management situations. His work has been honored 28 times. Mr. Naito has conducted media training sessions for executives and has also guest lectured at a number of universities. He graduated from Harvard University with a Master in Public Policy degree and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a BS degree in environmental engineering and a minor in English.
