Carolyn Bronstein is a Public Voices Fellow with The OpEd Project and Associate Professor of Communication and Director of the Mass Communication programs at DePaul University. She studies media representation, advertising, and social responsibility, with an emphasis on gender. She is the author of the award-winning book, Battling Pornography: The American Feminist Anti-Pornography Movement, 1976-1986 (Cambridge University Press 2011). Bronstein's research has been published in popular venues including The Atlantic and a wide range of academic journals. She is a frequent commentator on media-related issues.
