Carrie Pollare is co-founder of “I’m Tired of…” (ITo) bracelets, a philanthropic campaign that raises money for various charities fighting the world’s issues, like world hunger, cancer, global warming, animal cruelty and diabetes, that we are all tired of. Funds are raised from the sales of $10 fashionable, eco friendly bracelets, made from recycled tires and metals. Half of the sales ($5 from each bracelet) is donated to such well known charities as Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Best Friends Animal Society, Jenny McCarthy’s Generation Rescue (autism) and Stop Global Warming.
A green fashion and lifestyle expert, Carrie is also the co-founder and Editor of WhiteApricot.com, a highly regarded online newsletter and website that covers eco and socially conscious fashion, beauty and lifestyle.
As a principal in ITo’s and White Apricot’s parent company, 2Cool Corporation, she has been involved in the product development and marketing of several fashion products, including a line of high end handbags, marketed through Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and other upscale department stores and boutiques, and two very successful jewelry collections, both making their way onto some of Hollywood’s most famous people. Prior to 2Cool, she was the president of DISC Distributing Corp., a large wholesale distributor of computer products. A graduate of UCLA, she also has a long history as a public relations executive.
