Dr. Cheryl Lubin is the founder and executive director of the trial advocacy firm Staging Court, which coaches lawyers and witnesses on the art of courtroom performance. She holds a juris doctor degree from Tulane and a doctorate in theater and critical studies from the University of California Los Angeles. She has taught Courtroom Communication at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Legal Education for Teachers for Los Angeles Unified School District. Her book "Courting the Stage" explores the influence of law on popular culture. She has served on the editorial board of the online performing arts journal Extensions and published reviews in Theatre Journal and The Hemispheric Institute’s journal.
