Daniel Katz

Dr. Daniel Katz is a life-long educator with over two and half decades of experience in classrooms from 7th grade all the way to graduate studies. He is currently the Department Chair of Educational Studies at Seton Hall University in New Jersey where he teaches young people seeking to become secondary English teachers and where he writes about education policy and teacher learning. Dr. Katz is a proud graduate of the Massachusetts public school system, and the father of two public school children in the New York City public schools. He holds an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, an M.A. in poetry from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University.
