David H. Bailey is recently retired from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, California, and is a Research Associate at the University of California, Davis. His published work includes studies in computational mathematics (including several papers on the mathematics of pi), scientific supercomputing and mathematical finance.
He and his long-time colleague Jonathan Borwein have jointly written numerous books, technical papers and columns on mathematics, computing, science and society. Together they blog as Math Drudge. Bailey's website is http://www.davidhbailey.com.
