Chairman, President and CEO of AAR Corp. (NYSE: AIR)

David P. Storch is chairman, president and CEO of AAR Corp. (NYSE: AIR), a leading aviation aftermarket company incorporated in 1955. He joined AAR in 1979 to develop its aircraft engine sales business, and became the company’s second CEO in 1996. During his tenure as CEO, AAR was named to Forbes magazine’s “100 Most Trustworthy Companies In America” twice, an honor determined through rigorous assessment by an independent analytics firm and attained by fewer than 5 percent of public companies. Additionally, Storch was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012.

AAR offers a broad range of services to commercial and government aviation markets in three areas: Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO); Parts Supply Chain; and Airlift & Mobile Systems for Mission Support. Throughout his career, Storch has focused on developing innovative solutions to anticipate and meet customer needs in a dynamic industry. This approach has not only kept AAR in business for 60 years but has also led to a steady increase in profitability and revenues. Under his leadership, AAR has grown to as much as
$2 billion in annual revenue and currently has approximately 4,500 employees in 60 locations and 20 countries.

Further substantiating his industry acumen, Storch was the only person in the aviation industry named to the President’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa, which was formed in November 2015. Top executives from 14 other leading international companies, including McKinsey & Company, Walmart and The Hershey Company, join him on the Council. Storch was chosen for this position thanks to AAR’s business experience in Africa, including its five-year, multimillion-dollar contract with Kenya Airways.

In addition to his focus on executive leadership and global growth at AAR, Storch serves on the boards of the publically held companies Kemper Corporation and KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation. He also serves on the board of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum and is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago and the Economic Club of Chicago.

Storch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College.
