Devon Cone is a research associate at MIT’s Center for International Studies focusing on women and security, U.S.-Iran relations and human rights. She graduated with a Masters degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University where her areas of study were Human Security and International Organizations with a particular emphasis on forced migration and gender. She has worked in development in Thailand and Ghana and with refugees in Kenya. In 2007 she completed an internship with UNHCR in Dadaab, Kenya and subsequently returned to Dadaab in 2008 to work primarily with Somali refugees for Mapendo International.
