Barbara E. Cammer Paris, MD, FACP is currently Vice-Chair of Medicine & Director of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. Over the course of her medical career, Dr. Paris has developed expertise in the areas of healthy aging, frail elderly, end-of-life care and medical education. Related to this, she has grant funding, publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, videos, and invited presentations and national and international meetings.

Dr. Paris is also the recipient of numerous awards and honors. Since 1998, Castle Connolly, New York Magazine and Who’s Who have consistently named her on their best doctors list. In 2012 she received the President’s Award from Women in Health Management. In 2007 she received a Special Recognition Award in Geriatric Medicine for Outstanding Contributions and Teaching from her alma mater, The State University of New York, Downstate College of Medicine.
