Elisabeth Jean Neigert was raised in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to the United States to attend University. She received her Bachelors in Literature with Honors from The University of Kansas and a Masters in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2010. Currently, she is a Project Manager for the SCI-Arc/Caltech Solar Decathlon 2011 Team in the Solar Decathlon Competition. She created the SCI-Arc/Caltech Solar Decathlon Team with her colleague Reed Finlay as their joint thesis project.

Elisabeth is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and a Fulbright Finalist. She is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Research Award in Statistical Mathematics, German Department Achievement Award and Undergraduate Research Award. Upon graduation with her Master’s from SCI-Arc, she received the Leadership Award. Elisabeth holds dual German and United States citizenships and is tri-lingual – speaking English, Spanish and German.
