Eliza Margarita Bates is a graduate student at Columbia University's
School of International and Public Affairs, concentrating in
International Media and Communications. She has written for the
Associated Press and her stories have appeared on cnn.com,
usatoday.com and abc.com. Eliza has lived and worked in Latin America,
Asia and the Middle East.
Cara Zwerling is a graduate student at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs where she studies International Media and Communications and the Middle East. She has lived and worked in New York City and Frankfurt, Germany. She received her BA in History and Religion from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, and was born and raised in northern New Jersey.
