Erica Wides is the host and co-creator of "Let’s Get Real with Erica Wides™: The Cooking Show About Finding, Preparing and Eating Food" on the Heritage Radio Network.

Known for her sarcasm, wit, and matchless knowledge, Erica is a national authority on how to find, afford, cook, and eat real food.

Known as the “Jon Stewart of Food” she takes the snootiness out of the food conversation and explains how to tell real food from “Foodiness™,” which is the gray area between real food and junk food, but often is masquerading as "healthy" food. Foodiness is a term she coined in homage to Stephen Colbert’s “truthiness.”

On Let’s Get Real, Erica clears a realistic path for anyone to have access to real, minimally processed foods that are good for them—but with no chicken coop, kraut crock, bee-hive, or home-grown vegetables required.

She was also a featured speaker at TedX Berkeley in April 2013, has appeared as a guest expert on The Dr. Oz Show, PBS’s Stress Free Cooking, Martha Stewart Morning Living, the Food Network’s Chopped and Top Five, and has sold useless stuff on The Home Shopping Network. She's been a guest on NPR’s All Things Considered; and is a featured culinary expert for About.com. Erica also writes a twice-monthly column for Nutrisystem's NuMi, and contributes to Recipe Corner, and other media outlets.

Erica also works as a commercial actor and
voiceover artist.
