Living in the city of Sacramento, Garrett McCord works as a food writer and recipe developer at his blog, Vanilla Garlic and as a freelancer for mags, papers, and sites that chat about food. His writing has appeared in publications such as Saveur.com, Wall Street Journal, Smithsonian, Gourmet Live, and Culture; and he regularly contributes to the Sacramento News and Review and Edible Sacramento.
