My name is Gillian Farber and I am a 25-year-old Communications graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University. I was born in Toronto, Ontario and was brought up in Thornhill, a suburb just north of the city. Throughout my University career I was a feature writer for the Wilfrid Laurier student newspaper, The Cord. Recognized as one of Canada's most important and read student publications I wrote on a weekly basis about student life on campus. The past two years I have been teaching English in Gwangju, South Korea's sixth largest city and enjoyed myself beyond what I would have reasonably expected. I believe I have gained a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge of the world around me through both my travels across Europe, Asia and choosing to work and live abroad for two years.
