Gregory Foy is an Associate Professor and Chair of Chemistry at York College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Foy is a section councilor for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Section of the American Chemical Society (SEPSACS) and Education Night chair for SEPSACS. Dr. Foy and Dr. Keith Peterman have created a program sponsored by ACS that has provided a unique opportunity for eleven students from around the United States to attend the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 16th, 17th, and now 18th Conference of Parties (COP16, 17, and 18). Drs. Foy and Peterman share a climate change blog (Global Hot Topic) which is hosted by the York Daily Record/Sunday News. Dr. Foy’s current research compares international teaching strategies on global environmental issues including sustainability. He is also currently engaged in a project funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture investigating minimizing runoff of sediment and chemicals in the Codorus Creek Watershed. Several York College Chemical Industry Advisory Council (CIAC) member companies, which Dr. Foy founded, participate in the Codorus Watershed study.
