Griffin Dunne, an accomplished actor and producer, has also established himself as a director. Dunne made his foray into directing with the short film Duke of Groove, for which he received an Academy Award nomination. His feature film directorial debut was Addicted to Love, which he followed with Practical Magic, Fierce People, and The Accidental Husband. He is also a frequent director for The Good Wife.
As an actor he is best known for After Hours, directed by Martin Scorsese, which Dunne also produced, An American Werewolf in London, directed by John Landis, and Johnny Dangerously with Michael Keaton. On television he has acted in episodes of the The Good Wife, Damages, and as the Rainmaker in Showtime’s House of Lies. He was recently seen in Dallas Buyers Club and opens in a move next month called The Discoverers.
