'Marijuana Moms' Say Smoking Weed Makes Them Better Parents (VIDEO)

There's a buzz happening in Beverly Hills over a group of women who call themselves the "Marijuana Moms."

Many of the members of this loosely-knit group of pot-smoking parents smoke the wacky weed in order to relax or cope with chronic pain. In addition, they meet regularly for lavish dinners where the herb is a key ingredient in dishes like cannabis leaf salad, chicken fried in cannabis oil and marijuana milk shakes, Orange News UK reported.

Cheryl Shuman, a 53-year-old mother of two, said the group's joint mission is to show that smoking marijuana makes them better parents and better wives.

"We've all come up against people who say marijuana is for dirty druggies, but we are proof you can be good parents and productive members of society and use it," Shuman said, according to the Daily Mail. "I like to think we are bringing some glamor and exclusivity to marijuana use."

One of of the marijuana moms, January Thomas, 37, not only tokes up to five times a day while she looks after her daughter, 2-year-old Zenna, but she reads her child books with titles like "Mommy's Funny Medicine," and "It's Just A Plant."

"Marijuana makes me a better and more creative parent," Thomas said in a video for Barcroft TV. "It puts me in the moment with Zeena and stops me worrying about everyday problems."

Another one of these "Really Stoned Housewives of Beverly Hills" credits ganja with saving her marriage to her husband of 14 years -- who happens to be a cop.

Simmi Dhillon, 40, sustained serious injuries in a 2003 car accident that left her with chronic pain and a reliance on prescription painkillers, but said the giggle weed saved her.

"When I found medical marijuana my life turned around," she told HuffPost UK. "I was 37 and I tried a joint my friend was smoking [and] for the first time in years I felt human. I was able to be the wife I wanted to be once again and it saved our marriage.

"Now I can talk to my 10-year-old son about drugs and be completely honest about it. Before I was like a zombie on prescription medication -- now he's got his mom back."

Marijuana is illegal in California without a prescription, but even with one, parents who partake get negatively judged by others. Diane Fornbacher of the pot-legalization group NORML says this judgment is unfair.

“Marijuana parents aren’t perfect, but they’re far less imperfect than parents who use alcohol irresponsibly," she said during a 2012 interview.

Tulsa Robbers Make Victims Remove Pants

Tulsa police are trying to get their hands on two robbers who are making their victims remove their pants.

In the past week, the robbers held up two victims at a convenience store and a motel. In both cases, they demanded victims take off their pants.

That M.O. is puzzling to Tulsa Police Sgt. Brandon Watkins.

"You don't often see people getting their pants pulled off as part of a robbery," Watkins told Fox23.com.

One of the robberies occurred about 1:45 a.m. Sunday at an E-Z Mart when the victims were filling their gas tank. The suspects approached them holding what appeared to be a revolver and instructed one of the victims to remove his pants, TulsaWorld.com reported.

The two men then drove off in the car -- a Cadillac registered in Arkansas -- with the pilfered pants. The car was recovered a few hours later on the side of the road, according to the Associated Press.

A similar robbery happened outside a motel last Thursday where the suspects also asked the victims to remove their pants, KMRG.com reported.

Police said one of the robbers is described as black, 6 feet tall and about 165 pounds, while the other is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall about 165 pounds. Both men are between 18 to 22 years of age.

Shaun Paul Williams Ends First Date With Woman Beaten, Robbed And Stripped Naked

A lot of guys would love to end up stripped naked on the first date, but not in the way experienced by a man in Florida.

Shaun Paul Williams, 34, told deputies in Flagler County, Fla., that he was beaten, robbed, forced to strip naked and abandoned on the side of a road Friday evening during a first date with a woman named "Tree."

Authorites found Williams nude and bloodied walking on the shoulder of a road in Bunnell, Fla., late Friday near a cow pasture, NBC News reported.

According to the police report, Williams met Tree two weeks ago and they set a date for June 14. When she picked him up, there were two other men in the vehicle and Tree explained that one of them was her brother and she was going to drop him and the other guy off at his home.

Instead, the brother asked to stop at a cow pasture and Williams chose to jump out and urinate. At that point, he said he was hit in the head with a hard, metal object while one of the men yelled, “Give me all your money and your clothes,” RawStory.com reported.

Williams looked up and saw a semi-automatic pistol pointed directly at his face, so he took off all his clothes and gave his assaulters $200 in cash, a cell phone, his Florida driver’s license, a gray tank top, a pair of black Dickie shorts and a pair of gray and black DC sneakers. The two men -- who were both described as being around 30 -- then fled with Tree, FlaglerLive.com reported.

Williams, a professional painter, told the Daytona Beach News-Journal that, unless he gets surgery, he could lose his right eye and that his cheekbone and jaw are fractured.

He's also expressing regrets at how the date turned out.

“I was going to take the girl on a nice dinner, trying to be a nice guy and next thing I know, I got beat up over a couple dollars,” Williams told the Daytona Beach News-Journal. “Basically, it was my stupidity,” Williams said. “I should have realized there was something funny about it.”

Uri Geller rose to fame in the 1970s by staring at spoons and apparently bending them with his psychic powers.

But while he was wowing TV audiences, did he have an even more amazing career -- working as a spy for the CIA and Mossad?

A new British documentary, "The Secret Life Of Uri Geller –- Psychic Spy?," contends that Geller was recruited to work with U.S. intelligence agencies to help in a “psychic arms race” with the U.S.S.R. during the Cold War.

“When Jimmy Carter was elected President, one of the first things he did was to have Uri Geller give him a four hour briefing on the Soviet psychic threat. America didn’t want a psychic gap and Uri was the go-to guy about these things,” filmmaker Vikram Jayanti told the Independent.

“Sometimes, you wonder whether Uri’s entire public career has actually been a front for his shadow world activities.”

Geller's public career has been controversial, especially after magicians like James Randi have shown that his signature act of bending spoons psychically can easily be replicated, according to the Skeptics Dictionary.

While Geller has his detractors, he apparently has some impressive supporters. Former CIA officer Kit Green, Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, and retired US army colonel John Alexander, re all interviewed in the film, according to the Independent.

Mitchell's work in various military paranormal studies was detailed in "The Men Who Stare At Goats."

Geller remains coy in the documentary about whether he was or wasn't a spy, but according to evidence uncovered by Jayanti, some of his assignments included attempting to telepathically influence the mind of a Russian negotiator during Cold War arms talks in Geneva by beaming peace messages at his head and psychically erasing floppy discs being carried on jets by KGB agents, the Daily Mail reported.

There were some assignments apparently Geller wouldn't do. He was once asked to telepathically stop a pig's heart, but declined because he figured he'd then be asked to do the same thing to then-Russian premier Yuri Andropov, according to the paper.

In the documentary, Geller makes a public apology to Scotland for telepathically making a soccer ball move just before Gary McAllister fluffed a penalty kick against England at the Euro 96 tournament, the Sun reported.

Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a bad dad.

You need a sprinkle of narcissism, a dash of bullheadedness and three scoops of a blatant disregard for the conventional rules of propriety.

After combing our extensive files, HuffPost Weird News has found a few fathers who, if the allegations and accusations are correct, will never be candidates for father of any year (unless the award is given ironically).

Take Antonius Hart, Sr., who set a good example for his son, Antonius Hart Jr. when they didn't get the chicken wings they ordered at a Memphis fast food chain.

The two drove back and waved an AK-47 rifle at the employees who forgot the order.

If there is strength in numbers, then surely Orlando Shaw is a great dad.

The Tennessee man has 22 children by 14 women and is being sued in what might be one of Nashville's most bizarre child support cases.

Still, Shaw said he loves all of his kids and considers himself a good father. It's just that he can't afford to pay child support.

Anthony Michael Hedger, 24, was arrested earlier this year by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and charged with unlawful neglect of a child after cops saw him walking naked with his baby boy -- also nude -- along the highway.

In May, Jaron McGee, 23, was accused of steering his 9-year-old daughter in the wrong direction by giving her driving lessons.

Police say Arthur Langley, 20, left his 1-year-old daughter home alone while he tried to break into neighbors' houses in a Philadelphia suburb.

It might have been better if Dario Napolitano had left his son alone.

He was arrested last June for allegedly kicking his 3-year-old son in the face while at Disney World.

Florida has another bad dad candidate in Elton Jerome Davis Jr., who allegedly abandoned his 18-month-old child in his home to go to work.

According to the police report, the accused left the toddler with a bowl of Cheerios and some orange juice to keep him company.

An unidentified witness later found the child playing with a dog on the side of a busy road.

Rafael Medina Brochero Selling His Testicles For $20,000

A poet in Colombia wants to go to Europe so much that he's willing to fund the trip in a very ballsy way: selling his testicles.

Rafael Medina Brochero, 52, is selling the matching set of semen-producing genitalia for the lump sum of $20,000 to fund a European tour in which he'll participate in “Poetry for Peace in Colombia,” according to ColombiaReports.com.

Brochero did not say whether the surgery would be covered in the $20,000, but he said the presumedly used testes might be able to be transplanted into a sterile person or used to make soup, Yahoo! Australia reported.

It might be a desperate way to raise money, but Brochero sees it as addition by subtraction. The poet simply doesn't want to repeat an experience he had while touring Bolivia last year when he ran out of cash and had to pawn his wedding ring, TheNewAge.co.za reported.

A Chinese farmer who claimed he had electrocuted an extraterrestrial and put it in his freezer for safe-keeping is now in the cooler himself.

The farmer, whose name is only being given as "Mr. Li," posted photos online of the alleged alien discovery, but was quickly arrested by police in the Shandong province for "fabrications" that "disturbed the public order," the Telegraph reported.

Li previously claimed that he ran into five aliens on the banks of the Yellow River three months ago and one of them was supposedly killed by a high-voltage electric fence Li had laid to catch wild rabbits, he said.

However, after the authorities visited him, Li confessed that he made the fake E.T. out of rubber, chicken wire and glue in order to mislead his countrymen about the existence of aliens, SCMP.com reported.

The police also felt compelled to point out that the body of Li's fake alien was "made up of high quality rubber," Fox News reported.

Although Li admitted the alien was a hoax, some UFO conspiracy theorists are convinced it is real and are trying to connect it with another alleged UFO sighting around the Hubei Province, Yahoo Australia reported.

Andrzej Czapka is the worst kind of romantic: One with an arrest record.

Czapka, 30, of Lomza, Poland, recently broke up with his girlfriend, but hoped to woo her back the old-fashioned way by giving her flowers.

He didn't let the fact he had not one red zloty to his name stop him either: He just reached into the window of a local florist and stole a bouquet, police said, according to the Metro.

However, a live TV crew from TVN24 that was doing a remote in front of the floral business caught his action on camera. The reporter didn't see the theft, but hundreds of crime-fighting couch potatoes did and reported it to the police, NineMSN.com reported.

When Czapka was arrested for the theft, he allegedly told police he'd recently broken up with his girlfriend.

"I wanted to win her back with some flowers but I had no money," he told police, according to the Daily Star. "I didn't even see the film crew."

Czapka isn't the first thief with bad luck.

Back in May Katherine York, 22, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle after she drove the car through a McDonalds drive-in where the owner of the car worked.

A dangerous fetish has eye experts seeing red and those who practice it seeing pink.

It is eyeball licking -- a strange erotic activity wherein participants actually put each other's tongues on each other's peepers.

Alternatively called "oculolinctus" or "worming," eyeball licking has few public advocates but they include Elektrika Energias, a 29-year-old environmental science student in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

"My boyfriend started licking my eyeballs years ago and I just loved it. I'm not with him anymore, but I still like to ask guys to lick my eyeballs," she told The Huffington Post. "I just love it because it turns me on, like sucking on my toes. It makes me feel all tingly."

It's also a very intimate act, she said.

"I don't ask just anyone to do it. Guys I like a lot are more likely to not think it's so weird. I've never had anyone turn me down though," she said.

Eyeball licking has been around at least since the mid-2000s and a simple YouTube search brings up hundreds of videos from oculolinctus lovers who want to share their peeper porn with others.

However, eye experts are worried that this dangerous fad is gaining popularity with preteens, especially after news reports of elementary school students in Japan who dared to test their ocular boundaries and caused multiple cases of pinkeye, otherwise known as conjunctivitis, the Daily Caller reported.

In one classroom of 12-year-olds, one third of students confessed to "worming" or being "wormed." Officials only noticed something was up when some of the licked students showed up to school wearing eyepatches, ShanghaiList.com reported.

Currently, eyeball licking is only attempted by a small percentage of adventurers, including HuffPost Weird News journalist Andy Campbell, who said he had his own eyeball tongued to see what it's like.

"It's strange to have something touch the eye without it hurting," Campbell said. "I was a receiver, not a giver. I don't see it as a sexual thing. But you have to be comfortable with someone."

San Diego ophthalmologist Dr. David Granet are worried that the news of eyeball licking will cause it to spread.

"Nothing good can come of this," Granet warned HuffPost. "There are ridges on the tongue that can cause a corneal abrasion. And if a person hasn't washed out their mouth, they might put acid from citrus products or spices into the eye."

Dr. David Najafi, an ophthalmologist in La Mesa, Calif., said if the licker has a cold sore, it is possible to spread herpes into the eye as well.

"The cornea is very sensitive and could be scarred," he warned.

Other dangers from "oculolinctus" include conjunctivitis or "pink eye," a swelling of the thin, filmy membrane that covers the inside of the eyelids and the white part of the eye.

You might have been the old superstition that masturbation causes your vision to blur, but eyeball licking can actually cause blindness, according to Dr. Phillip Rizzuto, a spokesman for the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

"The bacteria in the mouth is nothing like the bacteria in the eyeball, which is why we no longer recommend people lick contact lenses to moisten them," Rizzuto said.

Those serious problems may not be enough to stop eyeball licking lovers like Energias, who admits her habit did put her eyesight at risk at one point.

"I got some weird offshoot of TB in my eye once. I ended up with corneal ulcers and I spent like a month in the hospital," she said. "Nobody really knows why. Well, I got over it, and I'm fine now. That was like six years ago.

"I'm just safer now, I guess ... Live and learn. I mean they don't really make tongue rubbers, but maybe they should."

Brittany Cole Accused Of Dumping 9-Month-Old Child In Dumpster

A 22-year-old woman in Altheimer, Ark., was arrested after allegedly tossing her 9-month-old baby boy in a garbage can.

Brittany Cole was arrested Sunday after an an incident on Saturday night where she allegedly got upset at her child, and told the father that she was tired of caring for her son and could no longer continue, KNWA-TV reported.

"The mother got irate and stated she couldn't do it anymore," Jefferson County Sheriffs' spokesman Major Lafayette Woods told OzarksFirst.com. "She didn't want to care for the child anymore."

According to Woods, Cole ran out of the house and returned empty handed, and that's when her grandmother suspected something and asked where the child was.

"Brittany Cole pointed to a nearby Dumpster near the residence," Woods Jr.Woods told the website.

Cole's mother retrieved the baby from the Dumpster and called 911.

Paramedics who examined the child said he did not suffer any injuries, but an emergency case worker was called from the Department of Human Services (DHS) to determine placement of the infant and Cole's two other children, THV11.com reported.

Cole was arrested Sunday on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a minor, the Associated Press reported, but officials told OzarksFirst.com the charge could be upgraded to attempted capital murder.

Julia Caples, Real-Life Vampire, Says Drinking Blood Makes Her Feel Healthier, Stronger (VIDEO)

As diets go, Julia Caples' really sucks.

Or at least she does.

Caples, 45, is a real-life vampire who, drinks almost two liters of blood every month. She sucks the liquid from the backs of willing donors she meets at an occult and oddities store she runs near her home in Wilkes Barre, Penn.

"When I feed off of a person and drink their blood I feel stronger and healthier," she said, according to the Mirror. "I know scientifically there's not a lot nutrition in blood, but maybe there's some value we haven't discovered yet."

Caples' taste for blood began when she was 15, in the throes of her first kiss, and she got the urge to bite her boyfriend.

“It was my natural instinct and I liked the taste. I just got an urge and can’t really explain it. It’s never gone away," she said, according to the Sun. "Needless to say though, he never kissed me again.”

Caples didn't really go batty for blood until she started dating her ex-husband, Donald, 49, who, like her, was into the goth lifestyle. However, when they had their son, Alexi, 11, he decided to go cold turkey on the plasma.

"I gave up, so Julia didn't have to. ... She's an amazing mother, and her children come first. She'd never let it stop her mothering her kids," Donald Caples said, according to MSNnow.com.

Caples' 24-year-old daughter, Alexi, finds her mom's dietary habits distasteful.

"I don't agree with it," she said during an encounter captured by Barcroft TV. "You are literally by definition a leech and a parasite."

Caples doesn't agree, since all of her blood donors do it willingly.

“I meet some donors online but I absolutely have to meet them in person first. And they have to get blood tests to make sure that they’re not carrying any blood-borne diseases like AIDS or HIV,” she said, according to Opposing Views.

Although Caples said her blood diet has kept her looking younger than her 45 years, medical experts don't recommend it because of the risk of blood-borne disease, and because the human digestive system isn't well adapted for digesting blood.

If the idea of losing weight by having a patch sewn on your tongue seems hard to swallow, well, that's the point.

The tongue patch is a new cosmetic surgery technique that can allegedly help people lose up to 30 pounds in a month via a postage-stamp-size patch on the tongue.

The rough patch is designed to make eating solid food so painful that patients only consume liquids, MSNNow.com reported.

The material used in the patch is marlex, an abrasive material usually used to repair hernias, and it is secured to the top of the tongue by six stitches.

Side effects include difficulties in speaking and a tendency to wake suddenly from sleep, Time reported.

The tongue patch is the brainchild of Dr. Nikolas Chugay, a Beverly Hills-based cosmetic surgeon, who said all patients are given an easy-to-follow liquid diet that fullfills all nutritional needs while minimizing caloric intake.

Chugay charges about $2,000 for this procedure, which has yet to be approved by the FDA.

There are many critics to the tongue patch, and they include California cosmetic surgeons lDr. Richard Chaffoo.

"With any kind of thing you put in there and suture into the tongue, you run the risk of getting an infection," Chaffoo said, according to the Christian Post. "You're going to be drooling a lot, it's going to be really painful... You could get an ulcer, an infection. It could dislodge and go down your throat and cause an airway obstruction."

Dr. Chugay said that patients on his diet can only wear a tongue patch for a month at a time because after that, the patch fuses to the tongue surface, UPI.com reported.

Shena Moore Accused Of Attempting To Snip Off Romantic Rivals Fingers With Gardening Shears

When Shena Moore saw a flirtatious text message on her boyfriend's cell phone, she not only got mad, she got out the gardening shears.

Prosecutors in Mason, Ohio, say Moore, 24, attempted to cut off the fingers of Brittany Rager, 28, as revenge for messages sent by Moore's boyfriend, John Gulley, 31, the New York Daily News reported.

The alleged attack took place May 5 when Moore, Gulley and her father, Gerald Moore, invited Rager over to a mobile home to discuss the text messages.

At the meeting, Gerald Moore allegedly attacked Rager with a cane while his daughter and Gulley attempted to cut off the victim's fingers, Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell told WLWT-TV.

"They basically put her down on the ground ... and attempted to cut one of her fingers off with pruning shears," Fornshell said, adding that the attack was meant to destroy Rager's promising career as a tattoo artist.

Rager described the terrifying encounter "like being in a ‘Saw’ movie" to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

“Shena put my pinkie in (the shears) and said, ‘This all could have been avoided if I had just not told her that her boyfriend was cheating on her,’” Rager told the paper.

Moore, her dad, and Gulley were indicted Friday on felony charges of kidnapping and felonious assault and each face up to 19 years in prison if convicted.

Shena Moore and Gulley are currently being held at the Warren County Jail on $50,000 bonds. Gerald Moore, who weighs 450 pounds, was released from custody May 17 on his own recognizance due to a medical condition, according to MasonBuzz.com.
