On April 23, to celebrate the release of his fourth solo album, Willpower, will.i.am joined collaborators Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Nicole Scherzinger in a live Google+ Hangout on his illwilly YouTube channel.

Spears, who joins Will on tracks such as "Scream & Shout," "Big Fat Bass" and "Femme Fetale," is quick to sing his praises: "I think he just gets our generation of people and what they want to hear musically."

Speaking of working with Will on the "Scream & Shout" music video, she says, "It's probably one of the coolest experience I've ever had. It's a totally different thing to be on camera with Will than in the studio. His energy is electric."

There have also been rumors that Will is the Executive Producer of Britney's new album. To these, Will says, "I can't confirm or deny, but I can say that whatever I end up doing on Britney's eighth album is being taken with real, real serious care." He adds, "I think me and Britney need to have conversations about life and then take those conversations together and turn them into songs. How do we make it personal where it bleeds from the heart?" He reveals, "We've been doing that."

Will says of his album title, which Dr. Dre helped him come up with, "Willpower, for me, is the ability to keep your dream going, to withstand any hate or people trying to put you down for being unique or individual." He adds, "Whatever it is you want to do or contribute to life, willpower is the ability to stay strong and weather that storm."

The hip hop artist also cites "gangsta geeks" as his inspiration for going to school to learn computer science and how to code. He'll combine programming, fashion, music and more into building up the will.i.am brand.

Nicole Scherzinger is not shy about attributing much of her success and drive in the music industry to will.i.am, even admitting to stalking him during the time the Black Eyed Peas were forming. "Pretty much Will and God have been the authors of my life," she says.

According to Will, Scherzinger was supposed to be the original female voice in the Black Eyed Peas, but her then boyfriend disapproved. Now, she's enjoying her own solo career and working with Will on tracks like "Far Away From Home." They also collaborated on the Disney-inspired tune, "Mona Lisa Smile," which Will says was partially recorded in the Louvre right next to Da Vinci's famous painting of Mona Lisa.

"If she were in the 21st century with us, who would she be going out with?" Scherzinger says of their modern interpretation. "My voice is like her spirit, the spirit and soul of Mona Lisa," she says of providing the Italian operatic vocal track.

Miley Cyrus also joins in for her first ever live chat online, sharing the experience of working on "Fall Down" with Will.

Will calls the orchestral end of "Fall Down" his favorite part of the whole record. "It just feels epic, like Quincy Jones just sneezed on it." He also takes the opportunity to tease Miley's upcoming album: "I'm so blessed to have collaborated with Miley before everyone just gets melted by the wonderfulness."

The Hangout's final guest, Interscope Records co-founder, major music producer, and American Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine, has been working with Will since 1997. "I knew that we would always make records together," he says. "I've never said that to anyone before, to be honest, and probably never said it since." He adds, "He's a true contemporary artist. He has the technical side and he has the creative side."

"He's finally made the right solo record for himself that incorporates the best of the Peas, but yet some new artists," Iovine says. "He's made a very cool album."

Doug Benson's documentary Super High Me followed the comic as he gave up weed smoking entirely for a month (the horror!) and then smoked constantly for another month. Ever since, he's been scanning about for his next great movie idea. Now, Benson's releasing "The Greatest Movie Ever Rolled," exclusively on Chill, and yet again he's been inspired by fellow documentarian Morgan Spurlock. This time, Benson and partner-in-crime Graham Elwood are touring the nation, doing comedy and raising money to make a documentary... about touring the nation and doing comedy.

Benson sat down to talk about making the movie, how touring constantly isn't really that big a deal and his follow-up to Greatest Movie Ever Rolled, a stoned journey to San Diego Comic-Con titled Chronic-Con!

"This movie is virtually conflict-free," he says of his latest feature. "It's just a fun look at life on the road. They show a lot of my stand-up and then a lot of smoking sessions with the fans after the shows. "

For the six or seven years since Super High Me was released, Benson's received many queries about when he'll launch a sequel, he really wasn't sure how to top that original format. Plus, other drugs and alcohol just wouldn't do the trick. "There's nothing else that, if you consume it constantly, it won't just wreck your life after a certain period of time."

So, he piggybacked off of Spurlock's The Greatest Movie Ever Sold and made The Greatest Movie Ever Rolled. Problem solved! Then Spurlock made a "Comic-Con" documentary, so Benson produced his own "Chronic-Con" version.

But now he's in a jam. Spurlock's next film is about British boy band One Direction. How will Benson ever compete with that?

With 4/20 coming up, Benson tells us that he'll be recording his next comedy album in San Francisco on that day. The perfect way for others to celebrate? "Come see me," he says.

Grammy Award-winning rapper Eve is making her big comeback on the music scene with Lip Lock, her first new album since 2002's Eve-Olution. She stopped by What's Trending to chat with Shira Lazar and Ross Everett about working on the new tracks, major collaborations, and what on Earth she's been up to for the past decade!

"I've been just traveling and working, performing and recording," she says. "I had to get out of my other label deal. I had to find a new label deal and now it's just all good."

While we still have to wait for Lip Lock to be released on May 14, fans got their first taste of Eve's new work with the single and music video for "Make It Out This Town," featuring Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starhip.

She explains that the album didn't start out with the name Lip Lock, but rather went through a few different titles, including "Here I Am" and "Flirt," both of which are also individual tracks that didn't make it onto the album. However, she did keep one older song from two years ago -- a reggae track.

"It was very organic," she says of creating the record. "I chose to work with certain people, then we had a meeting. They wanted to be on the album. It happened."

The record also features some amazing collaborations including Snoop Lion, Missy Elliot, Dawn Richards, and a new young female MC, Nacho.

"Missy's really one of my friends in the industry," Eve says. "I've known her since I started." "She's such a visionary. She's, to me, such an inspiration."

Eve also speaks out about how the female rap scene has evolved since she was a pioneer of the genre, with many fresh faces having emerged in the industry.

female rapping world "Any time a girl can get out there, a female MC

"I'm girl power all day," she says. "There's just too much testosterone in the game. We, as females need a voice, need somebody to speak for us and represent us."

Finally, she sends us off with a teaser for the new album. "It's a more global sound," she says, citing her residence in London. "The songs are bigger, but lyrically, it's still me. I think that's what I wanted to come across with 'Lip Lock.'"

Along with their successful YouTube channels, makeup line, Beneath The Glitter novel, and accessory line with JustFab.com, the sisters also launched their own line of stylish phone cases at cellairis.com.

"We developed this line thinking you change your bag and your shoes out for your outfit, but your phone is always in your hand, so why wouldn't you go head and change that out, too?" Blair asks.

"We launch them to go with the fashion season," Elle adds.

Adding to that, Elle and Blair have designed shoes and handbags, so possibly a full fashion line could be coming up in the future.

As girl talk gets rolling in the studio while critiquing a "Swaggy" Justin Bieber case, the girls chime in to reveal their feelings towards the Biebs.

"Justin Bieber does have swag. No matter what you want to way, think about the way he dances," Blair says. "We've seen him perform live at the Teen Choice Awards and he really... he has a presence. He has swag."

So, if Justin has his Swag Army, shouldn't the Fowler sisters have their own army of fans? What do you think their legion of viewers should be called?

Finally, we ask Elle and Blair to give their opinions on some crazy Fashion Week runway looks and trends, featuring designs from Betsey Johnson, Jeremy Scott, Eckhaus Latta and The Blonds.

"I just remember always liking these dark subject matters," Rob says of his fascination with darkness and horror in storytelling.

"Sometimes it's just the first stuff you're exposed to as a kid that really factors into the way you see things," he says, citing the "horror boom" of the late '60s, including "The Munsters," "The Addams Family" and "Creature Double Feature."

He also recounts the best haunted house experience he had when he first moved to California. "It was almost like you were inside the movie, 'Dawn of the Dead.' They led you through sort of what looked like an apartment building that had been overrun by zombies," he remembers. "I'd never seen anything like it before."

His inspiration for Lords of Salem was sparked when he was in Massachusetts and reading about the infamous Salem Witch Trials. "I thought maybe at one point it would be a graphic novel," he reveals. "I guarantee you though witches are going to be the next big thing. Everybody's sick of vampires and werewolves and zombies. Now it'll be witches."

Mayhem tour in the summer. Finishing up script to "Broad Street Bullies," a true life sports movie about the Philadelphia Flyers in 1974 winning Stanley Cup and then another film that won't be in the horror genre.

"I grew up next to a cemetery," he says. "That sounds like a cool, spooky thing now but, where I grew up in the area of New England, it was almost impossible to not have your house near a cemetery."

Specifically, he recalls the moment he discovered that the white slabs that his barbecue sat on were actually broken gravestones.

His advice for aspiring filmmakers is: "Do something interesting. Everyone's got a camera now." He adds, "It's harder to get your stuff through because everybody's flooding the marketplace with everything, but at the same time, good stuff pops out quickly."
First, we positively have to know how it's looking out there on Mars. "The water looks like fresh water that you might find on Earth," Ferdowsi says, noting that the water contains ingredients that could sustain life.

Alas, the Rover mission team is actually on vacation because Mars is currently moving to the other side of the sun, and while the station does get daily updates from the Rover, they're not transferring a great deal of information at this time.
While Elise Andrew is used to getting the "women in science" question (many people did not realize the FLP community was run by a woman), she says she doesn't understand why people were so surprised about her involvement in the field.
"I think people are just not up to date necessarily on what science and engineering looks like nowadays," Ferdowsi chimes in to say.

A huge part of broadening science education is taking place right here on YouTube, with Mueller as a prime example of those leading the charge with educational channels and content. "I actually spent my PHD -- three and a half years of my life -- studying how to make a good educational video about things in science," he says. "What you need is more context," he adds, noting the importance of destroying people's preconceived notions and starting an engaging discussion.

Mueller excitedly identifies the Higgs Boson as discovery of the century and something that makes him anxious about developments in the field of genetics. He says, "Figuring out, for example, the role of junk DNA and being able to sequence DNA much faster than before and much cheaper than before."

For those looking to break into the science education community online, Andrew and Mueller advise embracing social content and taking risks with your material. Andrew stresses consistency. She urges people not give up if people don't respond right away as it takes time to build up a following.

Regarding her own work, she's been asked to write a book and do a TV show but, she admits, "I just want to keep doing what I'm doing at the moment, which is showing people everything that I think is amazing." Eventually, she'll choose the appropriate format through which to expand her community.

When choosing what to share, she relies more on instinct about the "cool" factor. "If you're talking about what engages people more, it's always medicine and it's always astrophysics," she says. "But science doesn't tend to have trends in the same way the news does."

In terms of major discoveries yet to unfold, Ferdowsi says, "I think this is the year where we're going to see some big announcements on Earth-like planets outside of other stars." He continues, "Today's Mars is not necessarily the best place for life, but there are moons of Jupiter like Europa for example or the moon of Saturn, Titan, that look really promising."

Jesse Wellens, the male half of YouTube's hottest prank channel, PrankvsPrank, joined What's Trending live via Google plus to talk about maintaining how they were one of the first to build out a prank based channel on YouTube and how that's impacted their relationship as a real life couple.

YouTube stars Shay Carl, Ed Bassmaster, and Charles Trippy also crash the interview while filming Shay's "I'm Vlogging Here" documentary!

As someone who makes a living executing masterful pranks, Wellens says that April Fools' Day was actually an impossible time to pull anything off. "We were both so on edge," he says of himself and girlfriend, Jeana. "it was impossible to get to each other."

Though it might seem difficult to keep the relationship steady when they're constantly looking for way to one-up each other, Jesse says, "Our therapy is the pranks. After it's all said and done, we watch it and we love it." Jeana even pranked him on their first date! It was meant to be.

One of the most viral pranks is the proposal prank, because, as Jesse points out, the couple actually ends up pranking the audience because fans are always wondering when Jesse and Jeana will get married. "It was like prank-ception."

When it comes to devising the ultimate prank, nothing is off limits. In terms of rules, he says, "We always break them because those are usually the best pranks."

And now Jesse is even branching out into the music scene. "I'm working on something pretty big that my viewers are definitely going to be excited for. They know I've been in the studio," Jesse teases. "It's going to be a rap song, but it's something that they know I've been meaning to do for a long time." Stay tuned to his Prank vs Prank and bfvsgf channels for more!

Having grown up in Malibu and moved Santa Monica, it's no surprise that the couple's very first musical release will be beachy and reggae-influenced. "It's got a bit more heart and it's something that we've been working on for a long time," says Brandon Jenner.

"It really just sort of deepens the relationship and the connection," Leah Felder says of working with her husband. "It's not just our private personal lives but it's our business life, so it enriches all aspects of it."

The artists were signed to a major label for a few years and then decided to leave and produce tunes on their own "Slowly, we're watching it grow in the things that we are doing ourselves instead of a big machine behind us," Felder says. "It's really cool to be able to do it on our own and use the people that we have the people that we know to gain those things."

Even though family connections helped get their "Showstopper" hit on TV, Felder says, At the end of the day, you have to have talent. It doesn't matter who you know or what you use." She continues to speak about media pressure that often comes along with a career in entertainment. "People sort of want you to fail in a way," she says. "But it actually has been the opposite. We've gotten so much love and so much support." She cites fans making homemade videos to their songs (including Ben Gleib in his green G-string).

In terms of what's to come, Jenner reveals that the next EP should arrive rather quickly. "I love the environment that the music business is in now because you don't have to wait a year to get the next record. We want to put things out really consistently."

Keep your ears open and eyes peeled for Brandon & Leah's upcoming acoustic, unplugged performance of seven new songs, and, of course, the "Cronies" EP, due out April 9.
YouTube film experts Peter Rallis of Movie Buzz and Grace Randolph of BeyondTheTrailer also join the discussion over Google+ Hangout to ask their burning questions.

For his first action movie, Chu's G.I. Joe was actually shot in 2D and then converted to 3D for the screen. But he's had experience with these dimensions from his last two films. "Depth has been a part of my storytelling for a while," he says. "When you shoot 3D, you make your depth choices while you're shooting [...] In post conversion, you make those decisions after the movie's been edited."

"Bruce [Willis], coming on to set, he would just start making up lines." Chu says of improvised content in the film. "My job was just to stay out of his way and get it on film." Even The Rock's "Damn ninjas!" line, which gets a huge laugh, was ad libbed on shooting day.

Speaking of the recent influx of Asian filmmakers in cinema, Chu says, "I think it's more a matter of technology than anything else," citing easy access to creative materials. "I got to make my first student film on digital because I got a beta camera from Panavision."

Regarding the appeal of the G.I. Joe franchise, Chu says, "Ultimately, they're really relatable guys [...] I think that's the charm of what GI Joe has always been about," he says, noting the name of an "average" Joe. "Anyone can be a hero. It's what you stand for. It's what you stand up for. It's what you are inside."

Marking Trejo's second project with director Frankie Latina (Trejo previously appeared in Modus Operandi), the thrilling Snap Shot tells the story of a young, ambitious photographer who "gets caught in a harrowing labyrinth of intrigue and danger when the 'wrong' camera falls into his possession."

If you want to see this movie get made and don't want Danny Trejo knocking on your door to threaten, you'd be wise to contribute to the film's Kickstarter campaign now, as there are only three days left to fund it!

In true Kickstarter fashion, adding your own bucks to the movie can come with perks like being an extra and being killed by Danny on screen. "There's a long list of people that I've killed," the actor jokes. Wouldn't it be an honor to be on that list?

"Hollywood's been locked up for so long," he says of traditional media production. "You've got to start somewhere. No one is going to hand this to you." He believes that Kickstarter is perfect for following this method.

Having established himself in the industry, Trejo is also able to lend him famous mug to indie projects and use the new experiences to hone his craft."[On] low budget films, you have a lot of people that are trying to get into the business, that are just in love with doing this, and it shows," he says. "And you can't waste any time."

So, can we expect any follow-ups to the Machete films with Robert Rodriguez? "Next is Machete Kills In Space!" Trejo tell us.

Whatever project he latches onto next, we know it will have to have a few key ingredients. "It takes three Bs to make a great movie: babes, bullets, and blood," says Trejo. "If you don't have those three Bs, don't call me."

Singer/songwriter Tony Lucca recently exploded into nationwide stardom after becoming a finalist on the third season of NBC's The Voice talent competition series. With season 4 premiering last night, Lucca stopped by What's Trending to tease the new batch of contestants, chat about working with judge Adam Levine on his own upcoming album and perform his original song, "Reckless Love."

"Now the real work begins," Lucca says. "I've had this newfound exposure, what are we going to do with it?" As with many of these talent competitions, Lucca's new catchphrase, "Losing is the new winning," can certainly applies.

Since the series ended, he's been been touring and writing all over the country, priming his new record for its upcoming release.

He reveals that his song was inspired by Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship in the media. "You get addicted to these little weird stories," he says. "What is it our business that they're going through this type of... reckless love? But at the same time, we can't help but relate somehow when our lives are a fraction as exciting."

Having grown up in the suburbs of Detroit, Lucca says of his raw musical sound, "You realize that is the soundtrack of that world." He developed it as his own and began embarking on his musical career from a young age.

Since he emerged as a seasoned artist on The Voice, Lucca says that having such a resume was both an advantage and a humbling experience. "'The Voice' represents a certain layer of the stratosphere where there might be fans out there that know who you are but you're still not notable enough that these four coaches would know you."

With the new season coming up, the season 3 finalist shares his thoughts on seeing an early screening of the premiere. "I'm a fan of the show for sure, but as someone who's been through it, I can easily be extremely critical," he says. "But honest to God, season 4 is [...] dare I say, the best season yet, even after the first episode."

In terms of his working chemistry with Adam Levine, Lucca says, "We were the awkward kid in junior high that took to music and became frontmen of bands. There's an automatic shorthand." He continues to praise Levine's talents. "He's an extremely smart businessman [...] His hands-on portion of the workload is finding the right people to do it."

While he's made himself known for his awesome covers, like "99 Problems," and a remix of Antoine Dodson's "Bed Intruder," we're totally looking forward to any potential Sweet Brown and KABOOYOW renditions.

Lucas Cruikshank a.k.a. Fred Figglehorn stops by the What's Trending studio to talk about his new Nickelodeon show, Marvin Marvin, the future of "Fred," and his knowledge of pop culture's most famous aliens.

Following up from The Fred Show, based on his hyper YouTube character, Lucas is now starring in Nickelodeon's Marvin Marvin, a series about an alien hiding out on Earth.

While he doesn't know any aliens in real life, Lucas can offer other ways that he prepared for portraying the otherworldly character. "The show is kind of a modern interpretation of Mork & Mindy with Robin Williams, so I watched some of that before," he says. "I guess just find your inner weirdo."

Since hitting the big time with Nickelodeon, Lucas hasn't been updating the Fred YouTube channel as often, but that doesn't mean he's lost touch from the character. "Once I put on the Fred show, it kind of all just comes into place," Lucas says. He notes that he's been doing it for so long, so it's basically become second nature.

Lucas also tells us that the inspiration behind making his grand foray onto YouTube with "Fred" comes from his seven siblings. "My older sisters, when I was younger, would make videos but it was obviously before YouTube so they didn't go online or anything." He also confirms that -- unlike Fred -- his mom is not an alcoholic and his dad is not in prison.

He's not sure when the Fred videos are returning but he's still updating his Lucas YouTube channel with regularity, where viewers can see what the actor is up to in his every day life.

Still, the fans are eager to know if there is a possibility for a "Fred" film in the future. For this, Lucas quotes the super quotable Justin Bieber: "Never say never." He then adds, "I always thought it would be funny to do a Fred movie when I'm 40."
