Ivan has been been making films since childhood. His first job out of RISD was as an electrician at the fabled LaMaMa theatre, and since then he’s been on set or in post. Ivan worked on films like WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, and designed graphics for projects like Kenneth Anger’s MY SURFING LUCIFER.

At the same time, Ivan was producing and directing videos for the contemporary art market. FOREST (2006), a feature length project Artnet called “The most emblematic work of the day”, was exhibited in New York and around the world. FOREST attracted the attention of Atom Egoyan, who screened it in Toronto. Ivan collaborated with Cami Delavigne (Co-writer of BLUE VALENTINE) on the feature script GOD’S LONELY MAN, which was a finalist in the 2009 Netflix Find Your Voice competition. For that competition he directed a short that Cami wrote called HATCHET MAN, starring Matt Boren of MOMMA’S MAN, and Billy Warlock of BAYWATCH fame.

Ivan is currently developing GOD’S LONELY MAN and another script called PILLBILLY$, the story of a last minute pharmaceutical heist. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife Cami, their daughter Charlie, and an endless parade of house guests and collaborators.
