Jaime Willis, Esq. is the Chief Inspiration Officer and Co-Founder of Velocity, a DC-based professional coaching firm. As a company, Velocity is committed to doing three things very well:



Coaching clients: Velocity takes people from good to great by getting to know them, listening to them, understanding them, and co-building a plan with them to produce the desired results. Velocity’s strategic framework is goal-oriented and grounded in the science of positive psychology.



Facilitating retreats: Designed by three professionally certified coaches with unique specialties, Velocity’s intensive, immersion-based boutique retreats will create transformative and sustainable change. Participants learn skills they will use for the rest of their lives.



Speaking to groups: Velocity designs customized professional development workshops and seminars on a variety of topics related to communication, leadership, time management, stress management, life purpose, achieving goals, and teamwork.





In addition to founding Velocity, Jaime has worked extensively in the education sector, most recently as the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Office of Federal Programs Monitoring and Compliance Unit for the District of Columbia Public School system. In this role, Jaime oversees more than $30 million in federal grant funds earmarked for Title I Schools. Her 14 years in education has also included serving as the Chief Academic Officer for LevelTen, an education nonprofit dedicated to closing the achievement gap. Jaime has had significant experience as a teacher, trainer, and professional development facilitator and has published curriculum for the SAT and the New SAT.



Jaime has also served as a State and Local Regulatory Analyst at the Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy, where she co-wrote model legislation that was adopted in 12 U.S. States during her tenure.



Jaime graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the Lee Honors College of Western Michigan University and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the New York Bar and is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jaime loves prime numbers, Starbucks black iced tea, Batman, Hello Kitty, Scrabble, the New York Times Crossword, the Yankees, all things Apple, logic games, and flip-flops.
