James Bacchus is a former Member of Congress, from Florida, and a former Chairman of the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization. He served two terms as the chief judge for the WTO. Currently, he chairs the Global Practice Group of the Greenberg Traurig law firm. In addition to his worldwide law practice, he chairs the Global Agenda Council on Governance for Sustainability of the World Economic Forum. He is a member of the "B-20" group of global business advisers to the "G-20" group of leading economies on global trade, investment, and sustainability issues; and is a member as well of the global Commission on Trade and Investment Policy of the International Chamber of Commerce. He is the author of the book "Trade and Freedom" (London: CameronMay), and writes and speaks frequently on international issues of all kinds .
