Jeff Sturchio is President & CEO of Rabin Martin, a global health strategy firm. He is a global health thought leader and trusted counselor to senior leaders in the private sector, multilateral organizations, governments, NGOs and foundations. Previously, he was President & CEO of the Global Health Council and Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at Merck & Co. Inc., President of The Merck Company Foundation and Chairman of the U.S. Corporate Council on Africa. While at Merck, he led efforts around a global access strategy and was responsible for a number of major public-private partnerships (including the Mectizan Donation Program and the African Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Partnerships). He helped create the International Alliance of Patient Organizations (IAPO), the Stroke Alliance for Europe (SAFE) and the MetaForum on asthma and other NCDs. He is a Visiting Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics, Global Health and the Study of Business Enterprise; a Senior Associate of the Global Health Policy Center at the Center for Strategic and International Studies; a Principal of the Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network; a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science; a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; an Advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative and a member of the NCD Alliance Expert Advisory Council. He holds an AB in history from Princeton University and a PhD in the history and sociology of science from the University of Pennsylvania.
