Jeffrey Zeldman

Designer, author, publisher, and entrepreneur. Friend of the Japanese children.

Dubbed “King of Web Standards” by Business Week, designer Jeffrey Zeldman founded and publishes A List Apart Magazine, a leading journal of web design thought; cofounded the multi-city interaction design conference An Event Apart; co-founded and is publisher of A Book Apart publishing company; and founded and is chairman of Happy Cog, a digital design agency with studios in New York and Philadelphia.

Jeffrey has written two books, notably the foundational web standards text, Designing With Web Standards, currently in a 3rd Edition. It has been translated into 15 languages. A founding faculty member of the MFA Interaction Design Program at School of Visual Arts, he blogs at zeldman.com (since 1995) and tweets at @zeldman.
