John Bloom

Vice President, Organizational Culture, RSF Social Finance

John Bloom guides the organizational culture at RSF. The purpose of organizational culture is to tend to the reflective capacities of RSF, including how we articulate and practice our values in internal relationships and with our clients, how we learn as an organization, and how we manifest those values and practices through our public voice. John has worked with over 100 nonprofits over the last several years in the areas of capacity building and culture change. He has led many workshops, lectured, and written about aspects of money and governance for nonprofits. John has founded two nonprofits, served as a trustee on several (including Yggdrasil Land Foundation), and worked as the administrator at an independent school before joining RSF. He has written extensively on many aspects of charitable  organizations, associative economics,  life as an active member of a 29-year-old biodynamic CSA, and on the topics of money and philanthropy, including The Genius of Money—Essays and Interviews Reimagining the Financial World.
