John Harris is a professor of mathematics at Furman University in Greenville, SC. His main professional interests include the study of networks (or graphs), sports analytics, and his fulfilling work with the undergraduates he is fortunate to know and teach. Surrounded by wonderful co-workers and co-authors, he has enjoyed his part in a number of academic and expository articles, along with a textbook on Combinatorics and Graph Theory. His recent work in sports analytics has been cited in ESPN The Magazine, on the website espn.com, and right here on The Huffington Post.
