Jon Summers is the Founder of OnPoint Communications, where he advises Democratic candidates and elected officials, nonprofits and trade organizations. Summers served as Communications Director for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, where he was the lead advisor for strategic communications planning and implementation for the Leader and the Democratic caucus. He also oversaw communications for Sen. Reid's successful 2010 campaign for reelection. Before joining Sen. Reid’s office, Summers served as the Communications Director for the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) as well as the Nevada Democratic Party.
Summers began his career in political communications after working for nearly a decade as an on-air television journalist in Phoenix and Las Vegas, where he covered some of the biggest political stories and court cases in state history.
Jon, his husband Kyle and their son Alexander live in Washington, D.C.
