Storyteller, disruptor, traveler. SVP bringing digital to corp comms / PR at RuderFinn & RFIStudios - Founder Uncharted Digital, Co-Founder The Tiziano Project
Jon Vidar specializes in emerging technologies, new media, and multimedia storytelling. Jon is currently a Senior Vice President at Ruder Finn, where he splits his time across the Corporate Communications team and RFI Studios, the organization's in-house digital innovation studio.
Prior to Ruder Finn, his background as an AP photojournalist led him to create The Tiziano Project, a nonprofit where he went into underserved communities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, the West Bank Sri Lanka, and beyond, teaching them how to tell their stories via social channels. The project received funding from the Knight Foundation, Google, the US State Department.
As his work in the nonprofit sector expanded, he launched Uncharted Digital, a boutique digital agency focused on social impact campaigns and digital development. His work has earned recognitions from the Webby Awards, SXSW and more.
