Jonathan Fogel

Family Law Attorney, Twin Cities Media Celebrity, Author and Radio show personality

“Divorce can impact every aspect of your life. It’s not an enjoyable
process. But, I do believe in making it more dignified and child-focused.
That is my commitment.”

A family law attorney since 1995, Jonathan Fogel is widely known as an outspoken expert on the many complicated issues surrounding divorce and family law. Instead of simply providing legal advice, Jonathan helps his clients navigate the always uncertain and often scary transition into the next stage of life. It is this philosophy that led Jonathan to start his own law practice in 2004. Fogel Law Offices focuses on a “team” approach to family law offering a network of professionals that can assist with issues ranging from finances to counseling.

Jonathan has built a career and a reputation on his ability to cut through legal
jargon and advise his clients with carefully thought-out, yet easy-to-understand guidance. Through his regular Twin Cities radio show titled “Family Affairs,” Jonathan has helped his listeners struggling with the countless issues related to family law such as complex marital estate laws and the emotional toll of custody battles. Jonathan also provides unique insight on these topics in his recently published book: Preparing for Divorce while Happily Married; Tips from a Divorce Lawyer.

Jonathan’s expertise has made him a sought after family law expert among Twin Cities and national media. Hosts, producers, editors and viewers appreciate Jonathan’s engaging personality and ability to provide understandable examples and terms for even the most technical legal principles. Put plainly, Jonathan is an ideal “expert” guest and has offered his insight to several outlets including:
